Springfield

The Jack Nicklaus designed ‘East Course’ is the first 18 holes of a planned 36 holes complex. Now well established and with a magnificent clubhouse providing excellent amenities, Springfield is generally considered as one of the premier golfing resorts in Thailand.
The course has been designed to meet the high demands of recognised championship golf, and yet it remains an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all standards. Each hole has a minimum of five tees to play from, but only the brave, and those who regularly rub shoulders with the world’s best will venture from the back tees. The other options provide varying degrees of difficulty so that all golfers can appreciate the subtleties the course has to offer.
Water hazards regularly come into play and each hole presents its own individual challenge and character requiring either finesse or unrestrained power. Finesse is certainly recommended for the short par 3, 6th hole. To avoid a large waste bunker, water hazard and four sand traps guarding a small green, precision is essential. Springfield is great fun to play and the alluring effects from playing so many good holes on one course become captivation.
The complex is an absolute Mecca for enthusiasts where professional expertise provides the nucleus for a well organized golfing resort Consequently a day out at Springfield Royal and Country Club will be one to remember and most certainly an inducement to replay this masterpiece of golf course design on future occasions.
