While Pattaya is known as an international beach resort, its counterparts on the opposite side of the Gulf of Thailand. Cha-Am and Hua-Hin, are known for their quiet, sedate and a almost stately atmospheres.The town's attractions include a lively market, fishing port and endless souvenir shops. Seafood restaurants here are amongst the best in this part of Thailand. There is also a first class golf course, the Royal Hua-Hin a short drive from town.
